Dubai is located in the Persian Gulf coast of the United Arab Emirates. Dubai is surrounded by Abu Dhabi in the south, Sharjah in the northeast and the sultanate of the Oman in the southeast. Dubai is a rapidly expanding city that lies within the Arabian desert characterized by landscapes with desert sand patterns which is distinct from most of the southern region of the UAE.
