Dubai is the one of the seven emirates that comprises the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the second largest of them. Dubai's total area is around 3,800sq km and is situated on the banks of the Dubai Creeks off the Persian Gulf. The Dubai gulf is home to sub tropical and arid climate. Rainfall is scarce and irregular. The temperature variation is high with up to 40°in summers. The Dubai gulf area is mostly surrounded by deserts with sand dunes ranging from white color along the coast to a reddish inland near the mountains.The Dubai as we know today is a result of the past 25 years of rapid pace of industrialization. In early days Dubai was a sea port and famous in the entire Persian gulf region. The Dubai gulf region has grown gradually from a fishing port where life was centered on the Dubai gulf coast for fishing, pearls and sea trade.
